Why are Rhode Islanders so underappreciated?
I seriously love these folks so much. They are some of the most genuinely hospitable warm loving people, even among New Englanders. They cherish family and cultural diversity, the sea, nature's bliss, art, American history, independence.
I loved spending 4th of July nowhere else but Newport in the small quaint land of Freemasons and the land of the very first true free spirits who fled Massachusetts Bay when it was Puritan. And now I just think of the Rhode Island landscape and its people whenever I'm having a down day.
Well I like to call them the "unhateables" because to not get along with them, you'd have to be quite mean. They accept everybody.
probably because of the tv program "family guy" the program is set in rhode island. this has portrayed a bad image of rhode islanders
